Frequently Asked Questions • National Parks Baseball Resort

The Cooperstown of the West • Located in Southeast Idaho

Section 1: The Experience

Q: What is National Parks Baseball?

Some places are just fields. This is a destination. National Parks Baseball is a first-of-its-kind youth baseball experience set in the shadow of Yellowstone and Grand Teton — 200+ acres built to become the Cooperstown of the West. We're not just hosting tournaments. We're creating memories that outlast any trophy.

Q: What age group is this for?

13U — and we own it. Just like Cooperstown staked its claim on 12U, National Parks Baseball is laser-focused on creating the defining once-in-a-lifetime experience for 13-year-old players in the West. This is their Yellowstone moment. Their grand canyon of baseball weeks. We may add limited 12U and 14U weeks in our early years, but 13U is our home base — and the long-term vision is to own that age group the way the national parks own the American landscape.

Not quite 13U? Join our email list and you'll be the first to know if we expand to additional age groups.

Q: How is this different from just doing a local tournament?

A local tournament is a Saturday. National Parks Baseball is a story. It's the week your player learned what it felt like to compete on a stage that mattered — surrounded by great competition, great scenery, and a team they'll stay friends with long after the final out. Cooperstown kids don't forget Cooperstown. National Parks kids won't forget this.

Q: Will my kid actually play, or sit the bench?

Every player on your roster makes the trip, every player is part of the experience. Tournament structure guarantees your team is playing — not watching. We built this for players, not spectators.

Section 2: Cost & Logistics

Q: How much does it cost to attend?

Players: $1,500 per player
Coaches: $1,000 per coach

This is a fully all-inclusive experience — housing, meals, and tournament play all under one big Idaho sky. Think of it less as a tournament entry fee and more as an investment in a week your player will be telling their grandkids about.

Q: Is everything really included in the price?

Yes. Housing. Meals. Tournament play. All of it under one price, one week, one unforgettable experience. The only thing not included is the look on your kid's face when they take the field for the first time. That one's priceless.

Q: What is the recommended number of players?

We HIGHLY recommend that you bring 13 or more players to National Parks Baseball Resort.
Playing deep into the championship bracket play means lots of games and lots of pitches,
which can be hard on arms.

If you don't have enough players we can connect you with individual players looking to join a team. Click below to submit a request for additional players.

Q: What's the deal with coaches?

Every team is required to bring a minimum of 3 coaches and may bring up to 4. This isn't just a roster rule — it's our commitment to making sure every kid on every field has the supervision, support, and safety they deserve. Just like a national park ranger makes sure everyone gets home safe, our coach requirements make sure your team is covered all week long.

Q: When should we sign up?

Now. The best campsites in the national parks get reserved months in advance — and the best weeks here will too. Don't be the family that waited too long and missed the season.

Section 3: The Facility

Q: How many fields are there?

We're building this like the national parks themselves — one landmark at a time.

• 2027–2028: 7 fields
• 2029–2030: 12 fields
• 2031–2032: 17 fields

The long-term vision is 20 fields on 191 acres. Getting in during our first years means your team is part of building something that will be talked about for generations. Early settlers always have the best stories.

Q: When does it open and where exactly is it?

• Groundbreaking: Summer 2026
• Grand Opening: Summer 2027

We're planted right in Teton Valley, Idaho — the gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. This isn't just a baseball trip. It's a full-on family expedition. Exact weekly dates and available registration windows are listed when you register — and just like the best campsites in the country, the best weeks will go fast.

Section 4: Family Questions

Q: Is Idaho really worth flying to?

We'll let the neighbors answer that. Yellowstone National Park. Grand Teton. The Snake River. World-class fly fishing. More stars in the sky than you've ever seen. Your player comes for the baseball. Your family stays for everything else. Most families turn this into the trip of the summer — and honestly, we planned it that way.

Q: Can siblings and younger kids come along?

Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it. While your 13U player is competing on the diamond, the rest of the family has one of the greatest backyards in America to explore. Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons — there's no shortage of adventure waiting just outside the fence.

Q: What happens if my kid gets hurt?

We've got you covered. On-site medical staff, clear emergency protocols, and proximity to Idaho Falls medical facilities means your player is in good hands from check-in to checkout. Safety isn't an afterthought here — it's baked into everything from our coach minimums to our facility design.

Section 5: Trust & Credibility

Q: Is this legit? Who's behind it?

Fair question. Every great national park started with someone crazy enough to believe a piece of land could become something legendary. We're builders, baseball lovers, and parents — and we're putting everything into making National Parks Baseball the kind of place that ends up on every serious 13U family's bucket list.

Learn More About Our Founder

Q: Will my kid fit in competitively?

National Parks Baseball is built for serious 13U travel ball players who are ready for a step-up experience. Not the first-year rec kid, not the D1 prospect-only showcase. Think of it like a national park trail system — there's a level for players who are ready to put in the miles and see something spectacular at the finish line.

Q: What do the facilities actually look like?

Turf fields. Real dugouts. A complex designed from the ground up to feel like a destination, not an afterthought. We'll have photos and virtual tours right here on the site as we get closer to opening — and if you want to see what's coming, follow us on social media for behind-the-scenes updates from the build.

Q: What do other coaches think?

We're building those relationships now — and the early feedback from coaches and families who've heard the vision has been electric. Check back here for testimonials as our inaugural season approaches. If you're a coach who wants to be among the first to experience it, register your interest below.
